According to a Huntr study, demand for Indian workers in Abu Dhabi has increased by 25%

According to a report by workforce platform Huntr, Abu Dhabi is becoming the new employment hotspot in the United Arab Emirates, with demand for blue-collar Indian workers increasing by 25% in the last year. Large-scale infrastructure projects, a flourishing industrial sector, and a quickly growing logistics industry are the main drivers of the rise. According to the survey, Abu Dhabi provides far higher earnings than other UAE cities, with construction, manufacturing, and transportation paying 15–30% more than other UAE cities. This is in contrast to past years when the majority of migrant workers moved to Dubai. As the emirate continues its industrial and urban growth, the need for qualified tradespeople—such as electricians, plumbers, and technicians—has increased by 20–25%. The emirate has always been the main attraction for job seekers, but its greater earnings and economic momentum are making it a desirable option. The creator of Huntr, Samuel Joy, stated, "Abu Dhabi's 25% increase in labour demand and higher wage offerings showcase its emergence as the UAE's next major employment hub." Dubai has long been the focus of job searchers. This hiring boom is being fueled by Abu Dhabi's economic expansion. With the construction industry growing 10% in the third quarter alone and adding AED 26.7 billion to the economy, the emirate's GDP rose by 4.5% in 2024. Additionally, manufacturing production increased steadily, reaching AED 29.4 billion. As a result of the region's efforts to establish itself as a hub for international commerce, the logistics and transportation industry is anticipated to expand at a rate of around 7% each year. At the heart of this development are the estimated 3.5 million Indian laborers who make up about 40% of the UAE's population. According to estimates, the building industry in Abu Dhabi alone presently employs between 100,000 and 500,000 Indians.
