Applications for visas submitted prior to that date with just a Letter of Offer from an educational institution are unaffected.With this modification, both onshore and offshore student visa applicants will need to demonstrate an intended course of study. According to the notification, "A student's stronger commitment to study at that institution is demonstrated by providing a CoE at the time of VISA application." Australia's overseas education sector will have more certainty as a result."Australian visa holders are responsible for ensuring they maintain a lawful status," the official notice said. You will have to leave Australia or look into alternative immigration options if you plan to study and are unable to get a CoE before your current visa expires.
