Canada's investor visa programs are recognized among the top five globally, offering affluent individuals pathways to residency through investment. These programs are appealing due to Canada's stable economy, favorable business environment, and high standard of living.

Appeal of Canada's Investor Visa Programs

Canada is renowned for its stable, high-quality economy and favorable business climate, characterized by low corporate taxes. These factors make it an attractive destination for investment. The country's education system, healthcare, and overall high standard of living further enhance its appeal to wealthy families seeking residency.  Permanent residents and citizens of Canada benefit from visa-free travel to over 180 countries, enhancing global mobility. Additionally, Canada's favorable tax treaties, including those with India, make it an attractive option for efficient tax planning.

For instance, the AAIP requires an investment of CAD 180,000, significantly lower than the US EB-5 program's USD 800,000 requirement or the UK's Tier 1 Investor Visa, which requires an investment of 200,000 pounds.

  • Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP):
    • Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Alberta government, detailing qualifications, business experience, and investment plans.
    • If invited, apply for the Alberta Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
    • Upon nomination, apply for permanent residency through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
  • Start-Up Visa Program:
    • Develop an innovative business idea that can create jobs and compete globally.
    • Secure support from a designated Canadian investor.
