When applying for a visa, travelers will now need to include a copy of their return ticket and hotel booking paperwork with a QR code.Due to the possibility of delays, this modification requires travel agents to make sure certain documents are part of the application process.
Updated visa application guidelines
Hotel reservations and return tickets are now required under the updated rules. When applying, applicants must upload these documents to the Emigration Department's website. While visit visas can be submitted by trading firms, individuals, or families, only travel agencies are permitted to submit applications for tourist visas. The same documentation requirements apply to both types of visas.
Financial proof requirement introduced
Along with the documentation modifications, applicants must use their credit or debit cards to prove they have enough money. For a two-month visa, the minimum amount is 5,000 Dirhams, and for a three-month visa, it is 3,000 Dirhams.According to reports, a large number of applicants have encountered processing delays as a result of challenges supplying the necessary documentation. In the past, emigration officials at the airport merely required travelers to provide their hotel reservations and return tickets when they asked.The goal of these new rules is to further expedite the visa application procedure, which has already been implemented for citizens of Pakistan and numerous African countries. It is yet unclear, though, if foreigners living in the United Arab Emirates will have to provide the same paperwork when requesting visitation permits for their relatives.
Preparing for travel to Dubai
Indian passport holders in particular have access to a number of visa choices, such as a non-extendable 60-day visa, a new five-year multiple-entry visa that is intended to promote frequent travel, and a visa-on-arrival.
Visa-On-Arrival: Indian travelers who meet certain requirements, such as having a passport that is valid for at least six months and a valid visa or residency permit from the USA, UK, or EU, can receive a 14-day visa-on-arrival, which can be extended for an extra 14 days.
60-Day Non-Extensionable Visa: This type of visa permits a longer stay but is not extendable. The application fees comply with UAE laws.
Five-Year Multiple-Entry Visa: This recently issued visa permits frequent travel to Dubai for both personal and professional purposes, with the goal of strengthening India-Dubai tourist and commercial links.
