While the number of non-degree students fell by 28% to 1,426 students, the number of Indian undergraduate students also rose by 13% to 36,053.According to the survey, California on the West Coast and New York on the East Coast were the most popular destination states in the United States, followed by Texas, Massachusetts, and Illinois.International students who studied computer science, engineering, or mathematics made up about 56% of the student body. Additionally, the percentage of overseas students studying business management increased by 2%, whilst the percentage of students studying fine and applied arts increased by 5%, indicating a shift in tendencies toward the arts.The US has been the most popular foreign student destination since 2014, and it remains so in 2024, ten years later, followed by Canada and the UK, according to data presented in the research. In the UK, international students account for 27% of all enrolled students, compared to 38% in Canada and 31% in Australia.According to the 2024 Open Doors Report, the number of American students selecting India as a study abroad destination has increased by 300 percent. In 2022–2023, the number of American students in India increased from 300 to 1,300.
