The new online system, which is anticipated to go live on May 1st, is intended to make travel easier and boost tourism by offering ease and streamlining the nation's visa application procedure.The paper TM.6 immigration form (arrival/departure card), which is needed for international visitors entering and leaving Thailand at 16 land and sea checkpoints, will be replaced by the TDAC system.To streamline data verification procedures and boost entry management efficiency, officials created a new digital platform to connect data with pertinent authorities and combine systems. The "Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025" campaign was just introduced in Thailand to draw 39 million foreign tourists and bring 3 trillion baht in tourism-related income by that year. According to officials, the program will include world-class athletic events, a variety of tourism experiences, and year-round tourism festivals to honour the country's cultural legacy. To support this endeavour and improve Thai tourism, the online TM.6 system was created.While working on the new ETA system, the government earlier declared that the TM.6 paper form would be suspended until April 30, 2025. This service is anticipated to be offered by the TDAC digital immigration system, which was developed to streamline entrance processes and increase productivity in order to cut down on wait times, much as the e-Visa program. The introduction of the TDAC aligns with Thailand’s broader digital transformation initiatives, aiming to modernize immigration procedures and enhance the overall travel experience. By shifting from a paper-based system to a fully digital platform, the Thai government seeks to minimize bureaucratic delays, improve border security, and provide real-time data sharing between relevant authorities.
