Vietnam now permits visa-free entrance to nationals of 25 countries, significantly less than its neighbors. Malaysia and Singapore provide visa waivers to 162 nations, the Philippines to 157, and Thailand to 93. Meanwhile, several Southeast Asian countries are increasing their visa-free programs. Thailand is implementing new visa regulations, and Indonesia plans to enable visa-free travel to more countries by October.
