All applications for a UK work and study visa submitted after January 02, 2025, must adhere to the revised conditions. Nonetheless, candidates from specific nations or under particular circumstances are eligible for exclusions.
Changes to UK Student Visas in 2025
In 2025, foreign applicants for a UK student visa will need to provide proof of 11% greater financial resources than is currently needed. The new restrictions do not apply to students who currently reside in the UK or students from specific countries. In accordance with the rules listed in the table below, they must also provide evidence of their financial stability to show that they can pay for living costs.

Changes to the UK Skilled Worker Visa in 2025
The following modifications to the UK skilled worker visa have been announced by the UK government:
Applicants must show that they have GBP 38,700 (HKD 376,712) for housing and other expenses when they apply for the UK Skilled Worker Visa for the first time.
Candidates must have a sponsorship from a UK employer that has been authorized by the Home Office.
Before applying for a visa, the applicant must have the necessary funds in their bank account for at least 28 days in a row if they are unable to get sponsorship.
Additionally, the government intends to raise the cost of certain visa categories, such as student, spouse, child, tourist, and family visas. The new standards do not, however, apply to professionals with particular abilities or those working in the healthcare industry, the military, or positions requiring a certain level of talent.
